Question by : does lasik fix your vision from getting worse?
im thinking about getting it but i heard people still need glasses a couple of years after.
please help.

Most people’s vision gets worse year after year with artificial corrections(glasses, contacts, surgery). Blurry vision comes from blurry vision habits. Because we don’t change our blurry vision habits when we get artificial corrections, our vision is susceptable to getting worse any time we have stress in our life.

If we recognize the blurry vision habits and avoid them, we can keep our vision from getting worse. We can even return to natural perfect eyesight without or with artificial corrections if we relearn the clear vision behaviors.

No, it is not painful at all. all u feel is a light tingling sensation and it’s done. its only like half an hour long but it takes a few weeks to heal completely.

The range is 300 – 900 i think, in dollars.

i had a lasik surgery last week,i can see better but still feeling blurred and it gives me such a headache to use the pc or read.is that normal?also when i’m gonna be able to swim and wear eye makeup? thanx guys(i apreciate professional openions)

You shouldn’t be doing that stuff till like after 3 weeks, your eyes need time to adjust and you should be resting them and not be in the light so much

I had near-sightedness 6 yrs back….Got it corrected with lasik surgery…. Now i hve headaches if i watch tv even for 30 min… I think my near sightedness is making a comeback… i’m not sure…. But i want to know if corrective surgery is done only once…or can it be done again??? i’d be very thankful for an answer…

Yes they can, we call it in our office Lasik Touchup’s. It does not happen very often but sometimes the shape of your eye can change, and that will make you more nearsighted again.

That or depending on your age- if your over 55- its possible you may have the small start of a cataract and that can also alter your vision making you more nearsighted as well.

I am in the military and married. My wife has Astigmatism (i think thats how its spelled, lol) and wears glasses. She has tried contacts but they bother her eyes. She is wanting Lasik done but with four children its kind of hard to cover out of pocket. So I was wondering if Tricare will cover the surgery. Also if anyone has done this could you please let me know what the procedure is and what i will need to do.

I have a girlfriend who had Lasik done. Tricare did not pay for it. She paid out of pocket and as far as I know, Tricare does not cover any of it.

Laser eye surgery is really expensive and your eyes usually heal within a few days. It is quick solution, but there is something else you could consider.

There are eye exercises you can do that can help you see better without any kind of surgery. I would always recommend them first. Read more about eye exercises here:
